Privacy

Short version: no accounts, no tracking, and your progress stays on your device.

No accounts, no tracking cookies

You don't sign up for Drivling, and we don't know who you are. We don't use tracking cookies, adverts or analytics that follow you around. We don't set any cookies at all.

What's saved on your device

To remember your progress, Drivling saves a small amount of information in your browser's storage on your own phone or computer. It never leaves your device unless you choose to save a progress file. It includes:

  • whether you chose the day or night drive
  • which guides you've marked as done, and your journey checklist ticks
  • your Daily Drive results, and which questions you've answered correctly
  • the dates of things that count towards your weekly streak (including which test centre pages you looked at)
  • your car colour, number plate and whether the quiz timer is on

We can't see any of this. It isn't sent to us, and we don't have a database. If you use Drivling on two devices, each one keeps its own progress. You can move it with the progress file in your garage.

Deleting your progress

You can delete everything Drivling has saved on this device with the button below, or by clearing this site's data in your browser settings.

Other services

  • Hosting: the site is delivered by Cloudflare. Like any website host, it processes technical information such as your IP address to deliver pages and protect the site from attacks.
  • Maps: when a map is shown, your browser loads map images from OpenFreeMap. Like any website, OpenFreeMap receives your IP address when your browser requests them. On centre pages, the map only loads if you tap "Show map".
  • Sharing: the Daily Drive "Share result" button uses your device's own share menu, or copies text for you. Nothing is sent to us.
  • Links to gov.uk and other websites take you to sites with their own privacy policies.

Young people

Many learner drivers are 16 or 17. Drivling is designed with that in mind: no profiling, no adverts, no push notifications, and no pressure to come back.
